Outdoor Spotting Scopes

Getting close to interesting subjects isn't always possible. Airborne subjects like terrestrial objects and birds are easy to observe with spotting scopes. Spotting scopes are portable telescopes that can be conveniently mounted to a tripod. You'll always hit the target with bullseye rifle scopes

Typical magnification for a spotting scope can range from 20X to 60X depending on the style. Bird watchers generally favor the lower magnification levels. Spotting scopes are used to locate all kinds of targets. On target ranges spotting scopes are used to verify placement of hits without having to walk to the actual target.

Spotting scopes come in three different types. The `straight through' version places the eyepiece at the same angle as the rest of the scope. With the 'angled' version the eyepiece is located at an angle of about 45 degrees to the main portion of the scope. Shoulder mounted scopes are another option, but they are the rarest of the three.
